Advantage Inspection provides inspections at 3 different phases of construction:
Phase I consists of checking the foundation (slab on grade or stem wall foundation) walls, underground plumbing, site grading, reinforcement materials, wood destroying insect treatment, the potential for ground slope at the foundation (clearance to wall cladding), and drainage.
Phase II is completed before insulation and drywall are installed. The inspector will check the founation bolting, wall | roof framing, windows, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC rough-in. Typically, the roof is complete along with the siding.
Phase III consists of a thorough evaluation of the readily accessible major elements of the home with a written inspection report documenting‑findings. A Advantage Inspection covers 9 critical areas (over 176 individual systems and components, plus hundreds of associated components. In a new home, we also watch for more common problems. Every door should close, latch, and not rub the frame; every window should be easy to operate, and countertops should be square or caulked.
